Free AI Proficiency Test: Get Your AIQ Score
The AIQ test is a free AI proficiency test that shows how well you use AI tools like ChatGPT for real work. It takes about 15 minutes and gives you a score from 300 to 850, a bit like a credit score for your AI skills.
How the test works
You answer 20 short scenarios based on everyday work, such as writing a customer email with AI, checking whether an AI answer is right, or deciding what information is safe to share with a chatbot. There are no trick questions about programming. The test covers five skill areas, and when you finish you see your score right away along with a breakdown by area.
What your AIQ score means
- 300–449, Getting Started: you are new to AI tools.
- 450–599, Developing: you know the basics and have gaps to fill.
- 600–719, Capable: you use AI well for common tasks.
- 720–799, Certified-Ready: strong, consistent AI skills.
- 800–850, Expert: advanced, careful AI use.
The bands describe skill level on this test only. They are not percentiles or a comparison against other people.
After the test
If your score is lower than you would like, ReadyAIQ suggests short lessons based on your weakest areas, and you can retake the test when you are ready. You can also share your score with a link.
